Egg Traps
We can design and engineer custom egg traps specific to your broodstock tank system. All seams are reinforced to add strength and durable to the egg trap. Elastic fittings can be added at any location or size to fit the existing discharge pipes of the broodstock tank. These canvas fittings create a tight seal around discharge pipes while allowing for easy removal of the egg trap during collection and cleaning. The traps are made from moisture resistant polyester mesh ranging from 5 to 1000 micron mesh size. We can also help determine the appropriate mesh size based on the brood stock species and required flow rate.

Lights
Lighting can be a critical parameter in broodstock and larval rearing tanks. In many species of broodstock, light intensity and duration can be just as important as temperature to help induce spawning. During larval rearing many species of fish require periods of light followed by periods of dark for proper development, swim bladder inflation and feeding. Oceans Design can develop and manufacture a complete lighting system to meet your requirements. These systems can range from simple attachments to add lighting to your tank to an automated system capable of mimicking the natural diurnal lighting cycles of a specific species.

Over Flow Skimmer Boxes
Overflow skimmer boxes can be added to the design of most of the fiberglass tanks we offer. Skimmer boxes offer a simple way to remove protein from the surface waters of the tank. All skimmer boxes are equipped with sliding screens for easy removal and cleaning.

Self Cleaning Tank System
On all flat bottom circular tanks 12 ft in diameter and smaller, we have designed a self-cleaning system. The self-cleaning arm system is designed for a variety of aquaculture applications including larval rearing, larval weaning, and live feed rotifer tanks. The self-cleaning arm system can be set up with either bottom inlet or bottom drain designs. The arm rotates at 1 rph allowing for continuous 24 hour cleaning without disruption to tank flow dynamics. See the self-cleaning tank page for more information on all available options.
